Interview by Ashley Gold / Photography by Sarah White and Ashley Gold
Sarah White is always pushing, bending, creating and innovating. Sarah White is an architect of sound. She is a producer of a thousand words when she's behind the lens. There are no ceilings in her world, only sky. She is limitless. A proud mama of two, singer, writer, dj, photographer (checkout her site: fotosforbarcelona.com), musician, community organizer, activist, yogi, fashionista, curator and avid hula-hooper; there is nothing this woman can't do!
Sarah is a producing artist and photographer for USCAE. She actually started this series of, "Meet The Artist." I had a chance to sit down with the accomplished Ms. White and talk about her work and her time spent on her recent tour to Cuba. She left her comfort zone of being behind the camera lens and let me flip the script.
How did you become an artist?
I think i’ve always been an artist. Maybe now I'm just taking it more seriously? I feel like the ways that I have looked at life and the world have always been from an artist lens. I really feel pretty honored to be able to do it now as my career and life path.
You are such an inspiration yourself, Sarah. You are a mother, a photographer, singer, musician, yogi, community activist and fashionista. How do you make the time to fulfill all of your passions?
Don't sleep! No really, sometimes it's really exhausting trying to find a way to balance out all of things I am so very passionate about. I’m hungry, like creatively hungry all the time. I want to change things, and exchange with people and make moves in the world in so many ways. At times it can feel very overwhelming...but in the end, it's a blessing. I'm an Aquarius, and kind of crazy, so that helps too. (CONTINUE HERE)
